These lights have layers of chippy paint that has been left for the buyer to decide whether they prefer the patina or whether they prefer a cleaner profile with these lights. These fixtures were originally likely a part of a hanging fixture of the Victorian era. At some point the mounts for the sockets that come out of the larger top bracket have been replaced. Fixtures have been photographed with bulbs which can be included upon request. However I assume the buyer will want to use their own more modern energy efficient bulbs.
